Snug Harbor’s Adopt a Highway Program

Would you like to be an Adopt-a-Highway volunteer?
Join us at our next Community Clean-up Event!

The purpose of the Adopt a Highway Program is to create ongoing public involvement to help in keeping North Carolina's Highways clean and beautiful, and it is the participation of many fine groups like Snug Harbor that make the program a success.

Snug Harbor’s Adopt a Highway Program extends from Dogwood Drive to Apache Trail.

Brenda Kelly has accepted the position of Adopt a Highway Volunteer for the Snug Harbor Community.  She will be coordinating all clean up events.

Gloves, Bags and Trash Grabbers will be provided

Sturdy and Comfortable Shoes or Boots are recommended for wear

Flip Flops or Sandals are not recommended for wear!

Check Snug Harbor Property Owner’s Facebook group, Snug Harbor Community Civic League Facebook group or the Community Calendar on this website for Updates / Delays / Changes or Cancellations of Scheduled Events

Note of Thanks from Brenda Kelly

Adopt a Highway is a project that our dear friend, Annis Murphy, was passionate about. We do these projects in her memory. It was so important to her, and I know she would be so proud of all the cleanup work being performed in our community. I am sure she is looking down smiling so big and watching over everyone to keep them safe.

Thank you, Snug Harbor, for keeping our community beautiful.

Thanks to everyone who came out to clean up the old house on Snug Harbor Road and Dogwood Drive. Annis would be so grateful it was cleaned up!

Thank you all for your help in making our community clean up events successful!

Bless everyone and I hope to see you at our next clean up.

The Board of Governors is pleased to announce that Barry Locke has been interviewed and accepted to fulfill the Architecture position. This appointment is till December 2027. We would also like to thank Shawn Creasy for interviewing for the position.

Since ballots have already been circulated, Barry will not be counted in the vote. We will spread the word and remind people at the Annual Meeting, if they want to change their ballot.
